I like with you did with the pictures you included in your project each really brought your story to life. In order to give the audience a broader understanding of your digital story I believe it would have been a good idea to include more pictures to go along with each sentence of your story. It was creative that you decided to use Stupeflix to compose your video and added an eye-catching theme to keep the viewers attention.

The first thing I noticed is that the voiceover component was not functioning properly. When you were working on your project did you consider adding this component or tweaking it so it could be heard? The voiceover was a major part of the requirements in the project. I think the pictures you included plus adding a voiceover would have given the audience a better understanding of why you selected each picture. Right now your project is twenty-seven seconds of just pictures. Adding a voiceover would have brought your digital story to life and possibly extended your video time.

You might consider tweaking the voiceover for a more professional effect. As I watched the video clear progression was made with the pictures this shows a story is being told, but the audience might not know what exactly is happening. It is always a good idea to take a period after you finish your project to revise and watch the video for yourself to gain perspective on your project. In order to take your project to the next level I would suggest that you expand on the foundation you have already created by thinking outside of the box this would add a boost of creativity.

Your video was a great start to the project. I believe your story had 18 sentences in all if you would have added eighteen photos to go along with each sentence it would have provided an even deeper expression of your story. I would have love to seen your finished product with all required elements included. Good luck in all your future endeavors! ☺

Week 2 Exploration: Visual Communication NMT

In order to represent the abstract concept of media I used pictures of a laptop, newspaper stand, television, and a radio microphone.

I feel like these are the four biggest examples of media we use in our everyday life. The laptop represents the internet and the vast amount of media it contains. Radio is a major media influence in society from the music to the radio DJ’s this form of media reaches a vast audience.  The television, I believe, is the BIGGEST source of media we invite into our lives, and it is literally everywhere (our homes, stores, doctor offices, etc). The picture of the newspaper stand represents the various forms of written media in today’s society, such as magazines and newspapers.
