Pottermore:
I enjoyed my exploration of Pottermore. Most of my time was spent venturing around in the world of Pottermore. I am a huge Harry Potter fan (how did I not know about this game before!), so this was a very fun experience. This was a very interesting game because you can explore the world as Harry Potter or just play as yourself. Personally, I played most of the game as myself. I enjoyed the personal messages from J.K. Rowling and how the game was an extension of the story. As you can see from the picture above I was sorted into Slytherin house. Brewing potions was a little bit difficult for me at first until I got the hang of it. This game is a great way for fans to interact with each other since the Harry Potter series has come to a close, for now. Players can interact with just those in their house by entering into their Common Room or there is an open discussion board between all players located in The Great Hall.
The Simpsons TappedOut:
The Simpsons game TappedOut was enjoyable. Rebuilding Springfield and finding all of the different characters it is similar to several mobile games I have played in the past (Family Guy has a similar game). The main difference I found between mobile app games and web based game is the live interaction between players. Unless I missed it, the Simpsons game does not have a discussion board like the Pottermore game does. Below I have posted a screenshot of how players can connect. You can connect with your Facebook friends or you can add a friend by giving the username of someone that uses Origin.
